The Georgetown University GREP (Gender, Race, and Ethnicity Politics) Lab examines the effect of gender, race, and ethnicity on political institutions, elites, and the mass public. Our lab uses both quantitative and qualitative approaches to explore a number of pressing topics in American politics, from the policy preferences and legislative behavior of African American women to the racialization of Middle Easterners and North Africans to the causes and consequences of intersectional organizational advocacy. Through research, we promote mentorship (peer and hierarchical), skill development, and academic professionalization.

We have a number of research projects in the works that will allow students to develop research skills and apply these skills to real-world questions. In order to ensure fit, we ask that interested students complete the following application.
